{"id":354,"date":"2019-10-04T00:49:24","date_gmt":"2019-10-03T23:49:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burnhamradioclub.co.uk\/?page_id=354"},"modified":"2019-10-06T18:59:21","modified_gmt":"2019-10-06T17:59:21","slug":"television-and-radio-interference","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/burnhamradioclub.co.uk\/index.php\/television-and-radio-interference\/","title":{"rendered":"Television and Radio Interference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After receiving a complaint about poor TV reception and suggestion that Amateur Radio could be the cause:-<\/p>\n<p>Back in the days of DTI and Later Ofcom there was a method to get television and radio interference investigated by the government department.<\/p>\n<p>Currently bar pirate radio stations, Ofcom have delegated responsibility <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ofcom.org.uk\/spectrum\/interference-enforcement\/troubleshooting-interference\/reporting-interference\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HERE<\/a> to the BBC<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The BBC is responsible for dealing with complaints of interference to domestic television and radio reception <strong>except where the source is an unlicensed broadcast station<\/strong>. If the radio amateur or CB enthusiast is willing to talk to us&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Investigation of problems due to interference\u00a0are undertaken by the regulator Ofcom but they will not investigate unless some set criteria have been met.
